Gas bills up 22.4% in April due to subsidy cut – English

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 3 – Italian median gas bills were up 22.4%
in April due to a subsidy cut, energy regulator ARERA said
Wednesday.

The increase came after three straight month of falls.

Even though methane prices fell slightly, the rise was due to
the reduction, in the recent ‘bills decree’, of a recent subsidy
to reduce consumer bills. (ANSA).
