In a strategic alliance, Garment Workshop has teamed up with AI startup Double Avatars. Leveraging this partnership, the made in Italy street wear brand, established by Federico Barengo, aims to enhance its online shopping experience and take it to new heights.

With the patented technology, customers can virtually try on Garment Workshop garments with utmost precision. A personalised double is created in less than a second after uploading a full-body photo.

Double Avatars was founded by three young IE University students in Madrid: Mattia Mastandrea, Kobe Reynders, and Filippo Penta. It marks the next significant stride, enabling direct access and virtual interaction with the Garment Workshop.

According to Federico Barengo, the co-founder and creative director of Garment Workshop, “The brand has primarily generated its revenue from online B2C sales since its inception a year and a half ago.” With their collaboration with Double, he expresses confidence in achieving even more remarkable outcomes, placing them at the forefront among other brands in the sector. The revolutionary technology implemented through this partnership not only aids consumers in selecting clothes and sizes but also initiates a loyalty and gamification process, which is often overlooked in the fashion industry.
