From the incubator to business: Hubbard shares with Rotary

[ad_1]

Ben Hubbard was our program today at Rotary. He presented a very interesting program on his experiences as an entrepreneur with starting companies. Shown are President Glen Haab, Ben Hubbard and today’s program chair, Shasta Dodd.

A native Mississippian, Ben has co-founded and launched several software-driven start-ups to market.

Ben was part of a two-man team that built a multinational software solutions provider from scratch starting from an incubator in Jackson, MS.  The firm was a Google channel partner and expanded into several countries in Asia.  After nine years of success, Ben exited and spent two years giving back as part of the leadership team for the Mississippi Coding Academies, a non-profit that trains young adults to become software & technology professionals.

Over the last two years, Ben has been involved with other entrepreneurs testing business ideas, leading development teams, and doing all the hustling involved with the startup life. His main gig is PockitPay, a fintech that works with medical practices offering “BNPL” point of service financing.

Ben received his BS in Software Engineering and Computer Science from Mississippi State University and

his MS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.  He lives in Brandon with his wife and two daughters.
