France’s gambling regulator, L’Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), has issued guidelines on betting sponsorships in the country amid a 20-per-cent rise in the value of the industry this year.
The ANJ noted that the value of betting sponsorship deals within sport is expected to rise from €34m ($37m) in 2022 to €40.7m in 2023. In 2022, €15m worth of deals were signed with operators not authorised in France.
