Fox News has promoted Gillian Turner to anchor and state department and foreign policy correspondent.
Turner, who joined Fox News in 2014 and has worked as a correspondent and fill-in anchor since 2018, will now cover international and domestic issues at the State Department. Turner has previously covered news events like the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Donald Trump’s first indictment.
She will continue to work as a substitute anchor on programs like Special Report, America’s Newsroom or America Reports.
Turner previously worked for the consulting and lobbying firm Jones Group International and for the White House National Security Council during the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations.
Turner’s promotion comes just a few months after Fox locked in its top news anchor Bret Baier to a multi-year contract extension, and a week after Fox made changes in its C suite.
