Former police officer charged with financial crime | Loop Cayman Islands

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) said that a 31-year-old-man of Bodden Town has been formally charged with one count of Theft and five counts of Dishonestly Obtaining Pecuniary Advantage by Deception in relation to a report which was made to the RCIPS on August 11, 2022.

According to the RCIPS, the man appeared in court on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, and was granted bail pending a further appearance on June 27.

The man, a former probationary police officer, was previously suspended from duty, and has now been discharged from the RCIPS.
