Ferrum High School student, Marinda Boshoff, has been one of the brightest stars in the academic sky while completing her studies at Fontys University in Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

Marinda has just completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Science (BSc) Information and Communication Technology with honours (Cum Laude).

Her field of study included software and engineering, and she had two practical assignments in her final year, where she was assigned her first internship with a start-up company, ChainCargo.

For this internship and assignment, Marinda was awarded the highest mark possible.

She then undertook her final assignment with CGI, one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world.

After Marinda completed her final assignment with CGI, she was again awarded the highest mark possible and Fontys University awarded her a BSc Degree, Cum Laude.

Marinda is now looking forward to a successful career in software engineering and plans to remain working in the Netherlands. Software engineering is one of the most sought-after professional careers in the Netherlands.
