Based in Zutphen to the east of Appeldoorn, with a branch in Breda. Kamphuis Hoogwerkers can trace its roots back to 1895, when the first Kamphuis generation established a painting business in Eefde on the north side of Zutphen. Over the next 70 years the standard method of reaching work at height was ladders and later a ladder truck.
The company purchased its first aerial work platform in 1965, initially for its own use. Allowing it to carry out painting contracts more efficiently and in greater safety. A year or two later it discovered that renting its aerial work platforms to others was a lucrative business and the company has rarely looked back.
