Finnair is increasing its schedule to Japan by reintroducing a route to Nagoya for the first time since 2020 when it was suspended due to the pandemic.

The carrier will restart Helsinki-Nagoya flights on 30 May 2024 with flights operating twice per week. Finnair already flies from Helsinki to both Tokyo airports (Haneda and Narita), as well as Osaka. The addition of Nagoya will take Finnair’s total weekly flights to Japan up to 20.

Finnair is also planning to increase capacity to the UK and Ireland from October 2024 with more flights to Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Services from Helsinki to Manchester will increase from the current nine weekly flights this winter to double daily. While Helsinki-Edinburgh flights will go up from four to six per week in winter 2024-25.

Finnair’s flights from Helsinki to Dublin will also rise from the current eight weekly services to 10 per week next winter.

A further move will see the airline introduce flights from Helsinki to the leisure-orientated destinations of Faro, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote next winter.
