Franziskus Bumm
FCM has appointed Franziskus Bumm as European network leader amid a series of leadership changes in the region.
Bumm, who served as the TMC’s country manager for Germany for the past five years, replaces Tomas Tachovsky who has assumed the newly-created position of senior sales and account manager in Europe, based in the Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, London-based Andrew Boxall will take on the interim role of country manager for Germany alongside his existing position as executive general manager at Flight Centre Travel Group, which owns FCM.
The TMC said the new appointments are aimed at “fortifying support for the burgeoning business travel sector across diverse markets”.
FCM global managing director, Marcus Eklund, commented: “With our rapid global expansion and the evolving landscape of our clientele, it’s imperative that our operational framework adapts and that we bolster cross-country collaboration.”
Bumm first joined FCM in Germany in 2009, first as regional manager for Central Europe and then as general manager, European Network, working in both Germany and the UK.
In his new capacity, Bumm will concentrate on strengthening the TMC’s European partner network, spearhead global initiatives for the network and enhancing collaboration.
Commenting on his appointment, Bumm said: “We have the potential to revolutionise communication and introduce a new operational paradigm with heightened integration across network countries, deployment, support, and training, all underpinned by our innovative proprietary technology.”
