Cyclists may have noticed they were sharing the road with a very famous face as one of the nation’s beloved exports returns home.
Princess Mary has arrived in Australia for her first official engagement in her homeland in over a decade. The Hobart-born princess has just completed trips to Vanuatu and Fiji, where she raised awareness of the impacts of climate change in the Pacific.
The Tasmanian-born royal touched down on home soil on Thursday night after flying into Sydney.
Her first order of business was hitting the 2km cycle route around the city’s iconic Hyde Park along with City of Sydney staff.
The beloved princess, 51, will lead a Danish delegation heading discussions over Australia’s transition to renewable energy.
