Middle Eastern carrier Etihad is adding new destinations in France and Greece to its schedule for summer 2024.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline will launch flights to Nice in southern France and the Greek island of Santorini on 15 June, with two flights per week to both destinations.
Overall Etihad will offer around 25 per cent more weekly departures next year than it did during summer 2023, including extra frequencies to some European cities such as Athens.
Other moves will see the airline’s recently introduced winter route to Copenhagen being turned into a year-round service. The airline is also adding extra flights to some existing destinations in Asia, including the Thai capital Bangkok and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said: “Our exciting summer schedule reinforces our commitment to growth, giving our customers the destinations, frequencies and timings for European and Asian destinations which suit them.
“We are boosting capacity to international locations and introducing destinations, including Nice on the Cote d’Azur, allowing our guests to enjoy even more fantastic travel experiences.”
Etihad has already announced new routes from Abu Dhabi to Boston, starting on 31 March, as well as to Nairobi in Kenya from 1 May.
