Dubai: Dubai-based CYLKA Communication & CSR, has launched an executive training program targeting the social intrapreneurs in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). The first of its kind program, was co-developed and designed in partnership with LSE Generate, the entrepreneurship arm of the London School of Economics (LSE) in the United Kingdom.

Comprising of hands-on modules on enterprise mentoring and entrepreneurship, the newly launched program is aiming to build the capacities of the intrapreneurs to serve as Mentors -in Residence (MiR) at their workplace. Upon completing the 8 days extensive program, graduates will be granted a certificate from the LSE Generate and will be able to practice the enterprise mentoring in a skill-based volunteering manner.

Saad Al Rubaiaan, Co-founder of CYLKA Communication & CSR confirmed that this partnership with LSE Generate is a commitment to create impactful, sustainable and innovative CSR solutions in the region. The program offers an early assessment to the promising business ideas and it also adds social and business value to the ecosystem of entrepreneurship in the MENA region.

LJ Silverman, Head of LSE Generate said:” We embarked on this partnership with CYLKA to maximize our impact internationally and to emphasize on our commitment to support our community of international alumni founders”.

“We have carefully designed the curriculum of the program to equip the social intrapreneurs with the right balance of mentoring mindset and tools, as well as a step forward to make the social entrepreneurship more accessible and inclusive around the globe” She added.

In a similar context, CYLKA has recently launched a pilot phase of the program in partnership with Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation “Ruwad” in UAE.  The program entitled “Ambassadors of Entrepreneurship” aimed at training 13 public servants in the field of enterprise mentoring, through a series of interactive workshops over extensive eight days. Upon completion of the program, the participants have become ready to practice their voluntary side role as Mentors-in-Residence (MiR) within their workplaces.

CYLKA in partnership with LSE Generate is planning to reach out to more government entities, universities, and NGOs across the region to be part of this movement, and to build a new generation of capable inhouse mentors especially in areas of social enterprises and impact.
