Enlarging your capacity – Part 3 | The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News

Key verse: Deuteronomy 1:6, “The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, ‘you have stayed long enough at this mountain,’” (NIV).

It is a common saying that life does not always give you what you desire, but what you pursue and bargain for. If you pray and work towards achieving something, you will have it. To enlarge your capacity, you must do something intentionally. You must have intentional plans; you must make intentional moves and also take intentional initiatives. If you desire that by the end of 2023, you will review your records and activities and see that you are no longer where you were last year, you must do things intentionally. Be intentional about your idea and be creative to do something in a manner that nobody has ever done before. Be open to new ways of doing things.

If you want to venture into any field of business or endeavour, find out what made people in that line of business successful. Read biographies of people who have succeeded in your field. It is not every successful person that made it in a bad way. There are successful people who made their money in a clean way. God is still in the business of blessing people. There are people who have done certain things intentionally and God took them to where they are today; their efforts yielded fruits. Failure to be flexible and willing to try new things will hinder you from increasing capacity. You can change old ways of doing things to better and attractive ways. Success will continue to elude a closed mind.

To increase your capacity, you have to dream new dreams. If you have not dreamt of knocking down that old hut where you were born and brought up, and putting up an edifice to replace it, you cannot enlarge your capacity. Taking up new initiatives leads to new achievements. Always desire to do something new and follow it up to final conclusion. Don’t be comfortable with your current status because God wants you to move up. We have a lot to do for our God and we need to enlarge our capacity so that we can be able to do them. To increase in capacity, you must be willing to expand and increase on all sides. Don’t be comfortable with where you are and the little you have done.

It is the will of God for you to increase in capacity, but there are hindrances to capacity increase. One of such hindrances is your refusal to obey spiritual principles laid out in the Bible. There is a God factor that makes every child of God to succeed where others had failed. Your obedience to spiritual principles and submission to spiritual authorities guarantees capacity increase. Isaiah 1:19 says: “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.”

Another hindrance to capacity increase is when you are so much comfortable with the level where you are. Your comfort zone is an enemy of your future, a hindrance to your success and a stumbling block to your destiny.

Poverty is not a package from God. God takes pleasure in your prosperity. God blessed Abraham so much that one afternoon he quickly ordered that a cow be slaughtered without protocol to entertain the three angelic visitors that visited him (Genesis 18:1-15). God can bless you so much that you will have more than enough to share with others. The poor widow paid her debt and lived in abundance on the surplus oil (2 Kings 4:1-25). God wants to use you to transform and empower lives around you.
