Fuji Exhibition Running In London
Dunamis Gospel International Church founder, Dr (pastor) Paul and wife, Dr (Mrs) Becky Enenche prayed for God’s blessings upon the city of Leeds last week at the opening of their historic two-day Glory Conference at the First Direct Arena.

“We’ve brought the blessings of God upon Leeds ,” Paul Enenche declared Thursday, last week in the presence of the city’s 127th Lord Chancellor, Councillor Asghar Khan, who officially welcomed them in the presence of tens of hundreds of Dunamites who converged on Leeds from different parts of the United Kingdom and as well as others from around the world, including from Romania and Canada.

Khan, in his short address to the congregation , described Leeds as “a welcoming city.” Abuja-based Enenche also prayed for Leeds to “become a city of destination,” for business and investments. The conference was rounded off in the early hours of Saturday with music performances from Dunsi Oyekan, Prospa , the Enenche’s’ daughter, Debbie and the Dunamis UK mass choir.

Meanwhile, Afrobeats record breaking sensation , Asake, performed at the O2 Arena in London last Sunday

Asake , whose 2022 debut album Mr Money with the Vibe was a record as the highest charting album by a Nigerian artiste serenaded his fans with a variety of numbers from his catalogue.

In a separate development , an exhibition on Fuji music – Fuji: A Opera – kicked off at the African Centre in London same Thursday, last week.

Billed to run till August 28, a press release from the organisers described it as “a multi-dimensional exhibition which tells the story of the fuji music genre – one of the most important in Nigeria’s history and without whom the Afrobeats artists who top the charts today (such as Burna Boy and Wizkid) would not be selling out stadiums across the world.”

The statement disclosed further that the genre’s “story will be told through fascinating archival footage of previous performances, audio installations and incredible memorabilia across the 60-year history of fuji music.”
