Emmerdale fans have “worked out” what they think Gabby Thomas is up to as she listens to Tracy Robinson’s business ideas.

Tracy wants to set up a nursery in the village and while she had previously secured investment from her ex-lover Caleb Dingle, she is now keen to cut all ties with him. She returned his cash and pleaded with Gabby to hear her out.

Wednesday’s episode saw Tracy tell Gabby she wants to create a mostly outdoor pre-school, and while Kim Tate thought it was too “new age” and quickly bowed out, Gabby’s eyes lit up when Tracy told her most similar nurseries have long waiting lists.

As Kim left the room, Gabby told Tracy to tell her more about the idea. And while a pleased Tracy seemed to think she was getting closer to a new investment, fans watching the long-running ITV soap had another theory.

On X, formerly Twitter, Angie said “Gabby is going to steal Tracy’s idea isn’t she” and Polly said: “Gabby is going to pinch her ideas isn’t she?” Laura said: “I think Gabby is going to open a nursery herself”.

Other social media users took issue with the fact Tracy has never owned a business before as Chris said: “Did we miss Tracy getting qualifications to run a nursery” and TJ said: “Is Tracy even qualified to run a nursery?”
