Egencia clients are being given access to more ground transport booking options through a new partnership with US-based specialist provider GroundSpan.
The TMC, which is part of American Express Global Business Travel, is offering GroundSpan’s global ground transport supplier network, which includes access to a range of options such as chauffeur-drive services, SUVs and multi-passenger vans.
These products are available to all Egencia customers and any existing negotiated rates with preferred suppliers will also be available within the GroundSpan system.
The development is expected to particularly benefit SMEs without their own preferred ground transport suppliers or negotiated rates.
Customers can book chauffeured transport in cities across North America and have access to new booking features “regardless of their company size or transaction volume”.
Egencia is also introducing an enhanced ground transport booking experience for clients based in the US and Canada.
Ovation Travel Group, which is American Express GBT’s “high touch” service, is already using GroundSpan for ground transport bookings. Meanwhile, GBT’s Neo travel and expense platform is set to expand its ground travel options through GroundSpan “later this year”.
