Baxter Health of Mountain Home on Tuesday said Sarah Edwards will be executive director of the Baxter Health Foundation, effective Jan. 2, succeeding Barney Larry, who is retiring.

“I have had the opportunity to team with Sarah on many projects,” Larry said in a news release. “Her commitment to the organization and passion to support the community is outstanding. I am confident she will lead the Foundation to new heights.”

Edwards joined Baxter Health in 2015 as physician recruiter. After three years, she was promoted to director of business development, and from there moved into the role of major gifts officer of the Baxter Health Foundation. Last year, she was named the foundation’s vice president/major gifts officer.

“I am thrilled that Sarah has chosen to take on the Executive Director role in the Foundation and look forward to continuing the tradition of the Baxter Health Foundation being such an integrated and vital part of our organization,” Baxter Health President and CEO Ron Peterson said.

Edwards earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Science in operations management from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
