Edmonton weather: Nevermind, the cold has been cancelled

It’s currently -3.4 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 6 km/h winds out of the west, southwest and a -6 wind chill.

Well so much for all that ‘winter is coming’ hullabaloo.

Looking at Friday and Saturday’s weather, forecasters were calling for highs of -7 C and lows of -16 but that has since changed. Instead, we’re still looking at highs above zero and lows still above seasonal norms. While the inside of my house is beginning to look a lot like Christmas with the tree up, things outside couldn’t be further from it. A nice, fresh layer of snow would be nice, just saying…
