(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 26 – Economic growth in Italy is becoming
more fragile, especially in industry, according to the monthly
analysis on the economy carried out by Confindustria, released
on Monday.

“Signs of weakening continue to accumulate, especially for
industry and construction,” said the research centre of the
industrial employers’ federation.

Factors weighing on growth are the slow drop in inflation and
high borrowing costs, the analysts explained.

Services “are less dynamic”, while household consumption
includes “fewer goods, especially food items, and more
services”, they added. (ANSA).
