EC OKs 1.7 bn aid for agri-voltaic plants in Italy – English

(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 10 – The European Commission on Friday
gave the green light for Italy’s €1.7 billion state aid scheme,
partly financed through the EU-funed post-COVID National
Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), to support the construction
of agri-voltaic or agrisolar plants across the country.

   
The measure, said European Commissioner for Justice Didier
Reynders, responsible for competition, “will contribute to
greening the agricultural sector and facilitate the transition
to climate neutrality, in line with the objectives of the
European Green Deal”. (ANSA).
