EasyJet has launched a new luggage collection and delivery service in London and Geneva in partnership with AirPortr.
The carrier will offer the service to passengers travelling from London Gatwick and Geneva airport, allowing them to check in their luggage online from home and, in some cases, also have it delivered to their final destination.
The luggage check in and pick-up service is available to all EasyJet passengers departing from London Gatwick and Geneva. Meanwhile, passengers arriving into Geneva from any EasyJet airport (including Gatwick) can book for their bags to be delivered to their final destination, such as their home, hotel or office.
Passengers flying from London Gatwick to Geneva can therefore book a ‘seamless’ door-to-door service that will see their luggage picked up from home, delivered to Gatwick airport and then delivered to their final destination in Geneva.
The service, an extension of an existing partnership between the carrier and AirPortr, is included in the carrier’s Flexi fares from London Gatwick and Geneva, otherwise prices start from £37 and can be booked via the AirPortr website.
“We are always looking at how we can innovate with the products and services we offer to ensure we are providing more of the choices our customers want, so we are excited to be introducing Airportr’s services initially from London Gatwick and Geneva, to help make travel even easier for our customers, whether they are flying for business or leisure,” said Sophie Dekkers, chief commercial officer at EasyJet.
AirPortr already works with several airlines, including Singapore Airlines and British Airways at Heathrow.
