Based in Woolverstone, Ipswich, Insight Energy Renewables is an expert supplier and installer of electric vehicle charge points, battery storage and solar panels for homes and businesses across East Anglia.
As the company is product agnostic, it is able to offer a bespoke service advising on, and facilitating, green energy solutions for customers.
From the initial consultation to the installation, followed by the excellent after sales service and support, Insight Energy aims to inspire customer confidence at every stage.
This is backed up by excellent customer review scores and the key relationships it has formed with local businesses such as Marriot Motor Group and Proveeda and national electric vehicle charge point suppliers.
The judges were impressed by what Insight Energy has achieved in such a short space of time.
They said that “fast-paced growth in the two years since starting has clearly not affected customer satisfaction from the customer review scores”, and they commended the business’ “commitment to training”, including hiring apprentices, and its mantra of ‘putting people first’.
Gary Gibson, technical director of Insight Energy Renewables, said that this award is “about recognition for our team”.
“They’ve put in a lot of effort over the last few years and it’s been difficult, but very rewarding, and we’re very proud to be here tonight.”
Finance director Lucinda Day was asked if she had any advice for future entrants.
“Just keep going at it,” she said. “It’s tough, there’s challenges everywhere you turn, but the rewards are there so don’t give up!”

The judges said that the business’ sustainable focus “gives a clear line of differentiation for the salon”, and added that “it was also clear that clientele extended further than those who shared the same principles”.
Satsuma Group
Satsuma Group in Wherstead, Ipswich, is a creative agency that was founded by Ellen Widdup, a single parent to three children, who formed Satsuma with the intention of utilising the talented workforce that do not fit the typical nine to five.

Sunrise Studios
Sunrise Studios in Lowestoft provides media production services for local organisations and is operated by young people for young people, with all profits reinvested to provide creative opportunities for under 25s.
