HARNESSING the energy of in-person networking was the theme of a popular business event which returned to Dundee this week.
Aberdeen’s Granite PR held its first ever winter Dundee & Angus Expo at the Invercarse Hotel, Dundee yesterday (Tuesday, November 14th) where delegates were encouraged to knowledge share, network and cross sell. A series of motivational opening speeches set the tone for the day and called on exhibitors and visitors to find opportunities to support and collaborate, and celebrate business successes and aspirations.
Next stop for the well-known Expo series from Granite PR will be the winter Granite Expo at Ardoe House Hotel & Spa near Aberdeen on Wednesday, November 29th. It will be officially opened by Press & Journal/Evening Express Editor, Craig Walker.
The one-day, free to attend event continues a long-running series which stretches back to the inaugural Expo event in 2011. Since then, some 13 Granite Expos and three Dundee & Angus Expos have been held, with four taking place in 2023 alone.
Commenting on the Expo events, Granite PR MD and Expo creator Brett Jackson added: “The continuing popularity of these events clearly demonstrates the need for in-person networking opportunities. Whilst meeting online has a role in many post-pandemic business operations, there really is no substitute for the energy of being in a room with other like-minded people.
“For businesses attending, our Expos are also an important growth tool against a backdrop of the UK economy growing marginally in Q1 and Q2 but flatlining in Q3 of 2023.”
“We are delighted at the warm welcome our Expos have received in Dundee and we now look forward to ending the year on a high note with our final Aberdeen showcase later this month.”
