Position Title: Program Support Specialist. Multiple positions may be filled using this Public Notice
Grade: NH-0301-02
Full Performance Level: NH-02
Duty Location: US Army Acquisition Support Center, Office of the Program Executive Office, Aviation (PEO AVN), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama
Salary Range: $39,139 – $93,275
The NH-02 encompasses grades 5 through 11 on the General Schedule.

Relocation: Relocation (PCS) expenses are not authorized
Travel Requirement: Up to 10% Temporary Duty Travel required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing key assistance to managers and supervisors in facilitating the performance of their employment, management, and official structure responsibilities; serving as a liaison to HR staff on matters relating to organization structure, the assignment of functional responsibilities and administrative missions and operations for less complex positions/organizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service ((NH-02/GS-09).
Substitution of Education:
Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
Major Duties:
A. Conducts, coordinates, plans, analyzes and evaluates administrative practices and procedures.
B. Participates and provides input in planning and management studies necessitated by program and organizational changes.
C. Provides assistance in budget planning, monitors financial projections, obligations and expenditures.
D. Monitors the expenditure of office funds (travel, equipment, consumable supplies, training).
E. Analyzes trends, timeliness of processing, status of actions, and identifying deficiencies or discrepancies.
F. Coordinates aspects of PEO Aviation’s civilian personnel program with managers and supervisors. Coordinates personnel actions with the managers and supervisors. Other actions include initiating, monitoring and tracking requests.
G. Assures adequate justification is provided on personnel and position action requests, reviewing for completeness and accuracy and forwarding suggestions, referrals, performance appraisals, training forms, job descriptions, etc., to PEO HQ and CPAC.
H. Provides direct administrative and procedural support to managers, administrative officers, program analysts, program managers, and/or program offices by organizing, collecting, analyzing, and presenting information related to the current and future program/project workload. The work supports efforts to evaluate or improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of organizations and programs, and/or involves records, reports, directives, forms, space, equipment utilization, training, credit card buys, or similar management systems. Information encompasses manpower, resource management, and financial requirements.

6) Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement
7) Must possess or be able to obtain and/or maintain a Secret security clearance duration of employment.
8) This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
