Digicel Business Cayman will once again be holding its annual Golf Tournament at the North Sound Golf Club, Cayman’s Only 18-hole Championship Golf course. The event is held each year with the dual purpose of raising funds for charity and spending time with customers in a relaxed atmosphere.
The golf day, which takes place on Friday, May 6 will welcome close to 100 customers across all industries in the Cayman Islands and, according to Digicel, “it will celebrate customers, golf, The Cayman Islands and a worthy cause.”
Every year the event features a headline charity and this year Digicel will be supporting Inclusion Cayman.
Formerly known as the Special Needs Foundation of Cayman, Inclusion Cayman supports and advocates for those with disabilities and their families in accessing inclusion in education, recreation, employment, and shared community spaces.
“Inclusion Cayman is very grateful to Digicel for choosing us as the beneficiary of their golf tournament this year,” said Melanie Coffey, Lead Inclusion Specialist at Inclusion Cayman. “This financial donation will be extremely helpful in supporting our mission to advocate for and support inclusion of persons with disabilities and their families throughout our islands.”
A raffle and auction is held during the golf event that includes charitable donations from customers, partners and suppliers.
Ms Diane McAuliffe, Digicel CEO said:
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Cayman Islands and we shall always endeavor to ensure we give back and plant into the community we are in. Inclusion Cayman has been doing a tremendous job and we hope the funds will go a long way to support their vision.
