Two advisers with a financial services firm have received chartered status with one named as the UK’s youngest Chartered Financial Planner.

The accolade went to Jordan Cruse, 21, following the attainment of his CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

His colleague at Strategic Solutions Financial Services, Paul Roberts, was also awarded the title of Chartered Financial Planner.

It is recognised as being the gold standard within the profession.

Jordan’s career in financial services began in 2017 when he joined the award-winning firm at the age of 16.

Since then he has passed several financial exams and spent time within the paraplanning team in order to build his skills, experience and knowledge.

He now plans to work towards his CF8 and CF6 exams in order to become a Chartered Fellow.

Kevin Forbes, Chartered Financial Planner and Founding Partner of Strategic Solutions, pictured left, said: “Chartered status shows a commitment to our profession and a clear indication of someone wanting to be the best financial planner they can be for their clients and the community.

“Jordan’s achievement is amazing and signals the quality of next generation of advisers coming through in our firm and our profession.

“It is a real shot in the arm for all of us that have been around a long time.

“The whole team here couldn’t be prouder of what Jordan has achieved.”

Jordan and Paul are two of only around 5,500 Chartered Financial Planners in the UK.

Strategic Solutions now has 21 advisers at this level or above.

The Westbourne-based firm was founded by its four partners in 2010.

Only two years later it was awarded the title of Chartered Financial Planners, a prestigious award that only a few hundred firms hold.

The company has expanded with quality advisers over the period, including a Newton Abbott office and recently an office in Folkestone Kent giving coverage across the South of England.

Strategic Solutions now manages around £900m of client’s pensions and investments.
