Role: Sr. Communication and Knowledge Management Officer
Job Responsibilities:
Result area 1: Develop Cord aid’s brand visibility and corporate communications materials:
- Lead and work with the Country communications functions to deliver program and project-specific communications needs, including printed materials (flyers, brochures, learning publications, infographics), representation of project achievements and stories on social media channels, websites, and other communication-related products.
- Writing and editing concise and attractive updates for website and social media pages.
- Serve as a storyteller and editor for all content produced by the project and country office.
- Assist in organizing different events at national and regional levels for the visibility and branding of the organization.
- Ensure all materials, including jointly branded ones, are compliant with our brand guidelines. Ensuring the design and development of materials, messaging, and images required to achieve resource mobilization objectives.
- Monitoring branding of programs by Country Office staff and partners to ensure donors/potential donors, as well as the general public, view the organization favourably.
- Developing and maintaining a database of key contacts relating to Cordaid’s areas of interest who will regularly receive communications materials.
- Orient the colleagues on organizational visibility and communication strategy. Build the capacity of program staff to collect stories, photographs, and event news through training and mentoring.
- Oversee the work of the vendors/consultants related to the production of communications materials.
- Providing editorial support and direction to the program team in developing reports and articles.
Result area-2: Establish knowledge management and showcasing system:
- Capturing the achievements of the project and disseminating through video documentation, case studies, etc.
- Developing high-quality presentations such as PowerPoint to present to the higher-level stakeholders such as donors, government, and national level events.
- Innovate and bring new ideas and platforms to enhance team collaboration, internal communication information exchange, and peer-to-peer learning.
- Lead the development of learning and knowledge management strategies to ensure minimum standards and implementation across projects.
- Actively work with the field team to capture the achievement and learnings through different studies, research, investigations, case studies, etc.
- Write the successes and learning stories and share them with the team members and other stakeholders.
Result area 3: Linkage, networking, and advocacy:
- Organize national and local level events to disseminate the learnings and achievements to the different stakeholders.
- Identifies and establishes contacts with organizations and explores representation for potential areas for collaboration, taking into account the mission statement of Cordaid and the possibilities within the program.
- Develop strong linkage with government line departments, consortium members, and other service providers.
- Advocate to relevant agencies to incorporate project learning in policies and to achieve an enabling environment for project operation.
- Supporting in conceptualizing and organizing events (e.g. round table discussions, workshops, exhibitions, etc.) and communication campaigns to highlight Cordaid’s work and/or create an understanding of specific issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years experience in communications, public relations, print and broadcast media, or interactive digital media.
- Excellent in English Communication, both in writing and presentation.
- Skill in developing presentations such as PowerPoint slides and communication materials.
- Ability to transform knowledge and information into exciting and useful messages and disseminate it to the right audiences through the best distribution channels.
- Awareness of the latest trends in communications (print, digital, website, and social media) and of recent global developments.
- Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week.
- This position may be required to work some overtime hours and travel across the whole project area.
- The initial contract will be one year but renewable yearly, depending on performance, fund availability, and organizational policy.
- Willingness to use local transportation to visit fields in remote areas.
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor or country office from time to time.
- Yearly renewable contract based on fund availability and performance.
- Need to follow the Cordaid HR, Admin, and Finance-related policies strictly.
- Previous experience in working in complex, international organizations is highly advantageous.
- Practical experience in strategic communications around events and digital communication is highly advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and self-direction combined with open communication with colleagues to share standard methodologies.

Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.
