We were proud to sponsor two awards at last night’s Merton Best Business Awards, which celebrated the best of the borough.

At a fun, carnival-themed ceremony at AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Stadium, organised by the Merton Chamber of Commerce, there was a great opportunity for businesses to be recognised for their innovation, dedication and brilliance.

With categories such as Sport and Fitness Business, Independent Business Award, Best Customer Service, Sustainable Impact and Best New Business, there was a huge variety of areas for different businesses to demonstrate their excellence.

Stronger Fitness and Martial Arts won the award for Sport and Fitness Business, while BMS Transport had the Best Customer Service.

Councillor Ross Garrod said: “The Merton Best Business Awards are such a special occasion, and it’s been fantastic to see these awards go from strength to strength and to see Merton’s hard-working business get some well-deserved recognition.

“As the Leader of the Council, I know that it is our businesses that are the beating heart of this borough’s culture and our local economy.

“I know that our business community is an essential partner in delivering on our ambitions in Merton to nurture civic pride, build a sustainable future, and become London’s Borough of Sport – as we saw from all the great support we got recently for our Merton’s Big Sports Day event.

“We have some of the best businesses in London here for these awards, let’s celebrate them all.”
