ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – “The Concord University Department of Business will host the annual pitch competition on Thursday, November 30th at 6:00 PM in Rahall room 315. Students will gather to introduce their business ideas to faculty, business professionals, and community members.

Open to any Concord student, the pitch competition prepares students for pitching entrepreneurial ideas, and gives them the opportunity to win monetary awards to help develop their concept.

‘The CU Entrepreneurial Studies program encourages any student to turn their passion into profit,’ commented Dr. Susan Williams, Director of Entrepreneurial Studies.

The event encourages students to tap into their entrepreneurial spirits and learn how to bring ideas to fruition. Coaching is available and students learn how to put together a business plan that will help secure funding as well as forecast success.

The 1st place winner receives $300, 2nd place wins $200, and 3rd place wins $100. This money can be used to take an idea or product closer to becoming reality!

For more information, contact Susan Williams at swilliams@concord.edu.”
