Company recognised for good practice

A Grantham business is celebrating after being recognised for good practice.

ResPeo Ltd, which conducts research, evaluation and team development services for a range of organisations, has been accepted as a member of the Good Business Charter and accredited as a Living Wage Employer.

Director Dr Maria Kordowicz said: “Achieving Good Business Charter recognition demonstrates ResPeo’s commitment to ethical and sustainable organising and business conduct. We are delighted to have gained accreditation by meeting the Charter’s responsible business standards.”

The nationwide Good Business Charter champions responsible business practices and measures standards in areas including real living wage, fairer hours and contracts, employee well-being, employee representation, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, paying fair tax, commitment to customers and ethical sourcing.

ResPeo has also joined more than 12,000 other businesses across the country in being accredited as a Living Wage Employer. The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs.

“As a small business owner it is important to recognise the contribution paying the real living wage makes to society,” said Dr Kordowicz. “It also makes good business sense as it is a long-term investment in the wellbeing of employees.”

Dr Kordowicz added: “Our mission is to be person-centred in our approach and to improve relationships at work – we are interested in capturing the views of people through our research to support our clients improve.

“We are lucky to evaluate programmes, projects and services designed to improve the lives of their users in some way, for instance through better public health provision or developmental training.”
