Company news: Pam Brunet hired by Community Bank

Community Bank has hired Pam Brunet as director of community and corporate relations. In her new role, Brunet will oversee the company’s community engagement portfolio including strategic planning for the creation and implementation of new or existing community engagement programs and activities, manage the strategic planning and implementation of signature events and engage as a thought leader on corporate social responsibility trends and best practices.

Brunet previously served as executive director at Leadership Greater Syracuse for 11 years. Brunet was also employed at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Syracuse Manufacturing Operations for 17 years as manager of community affairs and worked for Dairylea Milk Cooperative for six years.

Brunet earned an associate’s degree in journalism from SUNY Morrisville, as well as a bachelor’s degree in public relations and journalism from Utica University. She has obtained a certificate in corporate citizenship from Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. She serves as a panelist for CNY Arts Tourism and Economic Development, and is president and founder of the Preservation Alliance of Hyde Lake. She is also a member of the LaFayette Apple Festival planning committee.
