Northern Onondaga Public Library announced two new librarians have been hired at two of their branches.
Susan Cutri has joined the Brewerton branch as the adult services librarian. A Solvay resident, she was a high school librarian for Cato-Meridian School District for 20 years.
Cutri earned a master’s degree in library science from Syracuse University and a bachelor of arts in English from SUNY Geneseo.

Julia Polly has been hired as a part-time reference librarian at Northern Onondaga Public Library in North Syracuse. A Lyncourt resident, she also works as a circulation clerk and public relations assistant at Fairmount Community Library.
Polly earned a master’s in library and information science with a concentration in library services at Wayne State University in Detroit. She is skilled in creating individualized reading recommendations for children, tweens, teens, and adults, assisting with job applications, college financing research for first-generation students, and a variety of other reference topics.
The NOPL system encompasses the Brewerton, Cicero, and North Syracuse public libraries. Its mission is to engage the communities of Northern Onondaga County, share resources, and connect residents to information, ideas, and each other. NOPL’s staff, volunteers, and trustees prioritize community, learning, collaboration, and sustainability through library programs, services, and outreach for all ages.
