MACNY, The Manufacturers Association of Central New York, announced the promotion of Althea Strife to workforce development specialist.
She first joined MACNY in 2020 as an apprenticeship coordinator. She has a strong administrative and accounting background. She jumped in to support the workforce development team in documenting and tracking the success of registered apprentices.

In her new position, Strife will support MACNY’s New York State Manufacturers Intermediary Apprenticeship Program. She will play an integral role in maintaining relationships with new and existing companies participating in NYSMIAP, while also coordinating related instruction and on-the-job training for apprentices.
MACNY represents more than 300 companies in a 26-county region in Central and Upstate New York. The organization provides human resource services, training, workforce development, purchasing solutions, networking opportunities, and advocacy support for its members.
