The Small Business Center at Wilson Community College will host a free webinar designed for new and established business owners, “How to Write a Business Plan,” from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Participants will learn the important components of a business plan, how marketing and financing are related to their business plan, how prospective lenders evaluate the plans and steps to make the writing process easy.

Methodist men to serve pancake, sausage supper

ELM CITY — The Elm City Global Methodist Church Men’s Club will host a pancake and sausage dinner from 5-7 p.m. Friday Dec. 15, at the 106 N. Parker St. church. 

The all-you-can-eat dinner is $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger, dine in or takeout. Pancake dinners are the club’s only fundraisers.

Alumni scholarship ball planned Dec. 22

The Williamson-Springfield Alumni will hold their annual scholarship ball, titled “Let’s Dance,” from 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, to 1 a.m. at the Darden Alumni Center, 1600 Lipscomb Road E.

The ball will feature music from DJ Ski. Drinks are BYOB, and attendees who plan to drink are encouraged to have a designated driver.
