Community banks will have the chance to argue that they should be included in a limited injunction on a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rule mandating the collection of demographic data on small business loans.
Judge Randy Crane of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Tuesday approved an unopposed motion to intervene in the case filed by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), the Independent Bankers Association of Texas, and Galveston, County-based Texas First Bank.
