In his role at Commerce, Postell seeks to foster growth for Alabama small businesses by providing information on available services to entrepreneurs. He and his office seek to have the concerns and needs of small businesses addressed.
The award was presented during a meeting of the Alabama Microenterprise Network, of which Postell is an advisory board member. Postell has served as director of Commerce’s Office of Small Business Advocacy for the past 14 years.
“The Alabama Department of Commerce’s Office of Small Business Advocacy appreciates and values the close partnering relationship between our two organizations, whose main goals are to help small business succeed,” Postell said. “Thanks to both District Director Todt and L. D. Ralph, the Deputy District Director of the Alabama SBA District, for this special honor.”
The SBA presents awards during National Small Business Week to highlight and recognize businesses and those who support these businesses because they represent a robust and rich culture, contribute to the local economy by creating jobs, and provide innovative goods and services across the nation.
