Column: What is the Economic Alliance?

[ad_1]

The Economic Alliance is a nonprofit economic development organization that serves all of Wadena County with the goal of helping businesses develop and grow. The Economic Alliance was formed in 2011 from the need for a voice for economic development in Wadena County.

Our focus is on issues such as business retention and expansion, business start-up, workforce, child care, housing, and access to capital. We are here to support you, work with the local communities, and help new and current businesses with any questions they may have.

One of the more recent things The Economic Alliance has done to help the business sector in Wadena County is partnering with the Chamber and hosting a legislative forum — the Annual Conversation with legislators providing Wadena County residents and business owners with a chance visit with their elected representatives, as well as a presentation by Minnesota Chamber of Commerce representatives on current and upcoming legislative changes.

The Economic Alliance hopes to continue to provide these kinds of opportunities to our Wadena County residents, as well as provide training and networking opportunities, all while working with businesses open, expand, and transition.

The Economic Alliance has the tools and expertise to help your expansion, relocation, or start-up succeed. We serve as a go-to resource that brings together local, state, and federal resources and departments to provide free assistance to businesses in Wadena County.
