Clyde Travel Management strikes NDC deal with Lufthansa Group

Scottish TMC Clyde Travel Management has struck a deal with Lufthansa Group to gain a direct connection to the airline company’s NDC-based airfares.

Clyde, which was last year ranked as the 21st largest TMC in the UK, said that the agreement would make Lufthansa Group’s full content available through its Consort TM booking platform.

Richard Nicol, Clyde’s head of supplier relations, called the move a “key milestone” in ensuring that both clients and its own staff have access to the “best content” from airlines.

“Adding further NDC content reaffirms the investment in our Consort TM platform to host multiple NDC direct connections,” added Nicol.

“By accessing fares directly, we can personalise offers to suit our customers’ needs, as well as service the ticket efficiently. As a key supplier, it was a natural decision to embark on this journey with Lufthansa Group.”

Glasgow-based Clyde Travel Management, which has been operating for more than 30 years, specialises in the marine, energy and corporate sectors.

Heinrich Lange, senior director sales, Northern Europe, for Lufthansa Group, said: “Not only will Clyde receive the widest variety of Lufthansa Group content and offers to serve their corporate clients, but this will also ensure that all NDC product innovations are available to their customers too.

“The project is yet further proof that NDC solutions are gaining traction in the corporate travel space.”
