Cindy Rampersaud has been appointed non-executive member (NEM) and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) of the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) for 3 years from 3 April 2023.
Cindy is a senior leader with over 25 years of executive and 15 years of board experience across a range of sectors. She is a non-executive director at Sage Homes, a board member and Chair of ARC at the London Film School, and a member of the council at Which? consumer group.
Cindy has significant executive experience across the education, entertainment media and the third sectors. Most recently, she worked at Pearson plc where she led the Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) and apprenticeships business.
Commenting on her appointment, Cindy said:
I am delighted to have been appointed to the Advisory Board and Chair of ARC of UKHSA and I look forward to working with the Board and team at UKHSA.
I am passionate about the work and the value UKHSA provides as a strategic body, which works closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and experts to ensure individuals and communities are informed and protected on public health matters.
A Chartered Accountant in her formative career, Cindy held several senior finance roles at EMI, Warner Brothers and Virgin. As part of her new role at UKHSA, Cindy will join the UKHSA Advisory Board, of which Ian Peters is Chair.
