Central Library will host a series of free, in-person workshops and a legal clinic for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs this fall, beginning Sept. 11.
The workshops will cover essential business topics such as financial statements, law, marketing, certifications and intellectual property. Some workshops will allow small businesses to learn about minority business certifications, target marketing and more.

The Legal Aspects of Starting a Small Business:
This workshop covers the fundamental legal aspects necessary to start a small business. The workshop will be presented by business attorney Zach Lange and will be held Sept. 11 from 6-7:30 p.m. Click here to register for this workshop.
Certification of MBE/WBE/VBE/DOBEs in the City of Indianapolis
Presented by the manager of planning and development for the City of Indianapolis’ Office of Minority and Women Business Development, Ava Taylor, this workshop provides an overview of the requirements to gain certification for minority/women/veteran/disabled-owned businesses. Small Business & Intellectual Property Legal Clinic
For those with questions and concerns regarding the legal aspect of starting a business, patents and trademarks, the attorneys from the Intellectual Property and Business Law component of the Indy Bar Association will answer concerns Sept. 18 from 4-6:30 p.m. Appointments will be available the day of the workshop on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Protecting Your Business: An Intellectual Property Masterclass for Entrepreneurs
