Carlisle business celebrates one year anniversary since relocation

Get Pierced is Carlisle’s ‘only Premium Piercing Studio’ and has been located in Rosemary Lane in the city centre for 12 months, since moving from Lowther Street on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. 

The local business is owned by Andrew Davenport and speaking about the anniversary, reflected on the process of moving into the new premise, from the first idea in May 2022 to beginning the renovation process in August 2022. 

He said: “Our first year in Rosemary Lane has definitely been a bit of a whirlwind, so much has changed in the Studio but at the same time the core of it is exactly the same, we’re a tight-knit team of eight who each bring something unique to the table.

“There were so many points between getting the keys to opening that we could never have imagined, finding a hatch to the basement no one knew about that led to us learning the whole ground floor & support beams needed replacing, having no water or heating for 5 months, there being up to 4 teams of different workmen in at once when we think back it’s a bit of a miracle we managed to open.

“We’re just incredibly thankful to be surrounded by so many incredible local businesses who’ve welcomed us into the area and helped us settle in.”

Andrew also published a heartfelt message of thanks on his business’ social media page to thank those who have supported the store since its relocation.

He said: “It’s crazy to think we’ve been in Rosemary Lane for just over a year. In a year we’ve added two new members of staff to the building and it feels like they’ve always been here.

“We’ve had incredible neighbours come and go, built relationships with other local businesses and just generally had an amazing time.

“We’re thankful for the support of everyone who’s been in, in the past 12 months and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for us in Rosemary Lane but here’s to many more years.”
