Carlisle Ambassadors, which has been in operation since 2015, actively encourages a business relationship community.
The group is composed of individuals aiming to benefit from an influential network while promoting the city’s future growth and expansion.
The latest addition to the network, Penrith Building Society, was welcomed on at an event on November 23 at the Carlisle Racecourse.
Carlisle Ambassadors focuses on promoting business development opportunities within the district of Carlisle, Cumberland and Cumbria.
Through the creation of key relationships with its partners, the objective is to encourage inward investment, boost existing businesses, and support the birth and growth of new high-quality ventures.
The network meetings have seen an increase in attendance, with November’s event seeing more than 290 members booked on.
Michelle Masters, Carlisle Ambassadors’ project lead, highlighted the network’s growth and aspirations.
She said: “We have seen a steady growth in our membership over the last eight years and we hope to develop our membership further in the coming months and years.
“We firmly believe that building long term effective relationships through local business networking, opens up opportunities leading to business growth.
“As we all know spending time in the company of the right people is an investment in your business’s future.”
Membership is free until April 2024, with businesses based anywhere in the UK invited to join – over 35 per cent of current members are based outside of Carlisle.
