“The next step for our winners is representing the region at our UK finals in Birmingham, in May. I wish them all the very best of luck and they should feel immensely proud of their achievements.

“Our awards are only made possible because of our amazing sponsors, and I am incredibly grateful to them for supporting our small business awards.”

Dr Amina Wakefield, founder and chief executive of international education innovator Cambridge Worldwide Academy, said: “Cambridge Worldwide Academy success was not achieved by accident.

“It is a result of a sustainable business model based on doing good in education and serving the whole eco system of education. All I wanted to do is widen access to British education and also make it affordable.

“I am delighted to have received four important recognitions last year and two so far in 2023. However, this award feels extra special because it is in export and Cambridge Worldwide Academy is a 100 per cent

export business.”
