A new business plan for the South Holland Centre will be presented to councillors in private.
South Holland District Council’s performance monitoring panel will get a first look at the emerging business plan for the Market Place theatre – but it will be presented during a closed section of Wednesday’s meeting.
The reason given for the restricted access of the business plan is: “Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information)” – according to documents with the agenda.
Chairman of the panel, Coun Bryan Alcock, put forward a question at July’s full council meeting asking when more information on the future of the theatre will be available.
An extensive report, from a task group Coun Alcock chaired, had put forward a 27-point plan to revive the fortunes of the facility last year. One point stressed that a business plan was needed by last October.
During the last performance monitoring panel meeting in June, members learned the venue pays £212,400 a year to the council as a service charge.
