Business owners from across the county took the night off to mix and mingle with other like-minded people at a Network Ireland Wexford event in Lu & Mol jewellery shop in Gorey.

Hosted by shop owner, Áine Breen, the event allowed members of the Network Ireland Wexford group to swap tips and stories. The group also listened with great intrigue as Áine spoke about her career path to date, which saw her transition from being an accountant to a jewellery designer and business owner. Áine Breen turned to jewellery design while living in Beijing, where she studied both Chinese calligraphy and silversmithing. Having successfully made her jewellery from her workshop in Ballymoney, selling online at www.liwujewellery.com, she opened a physical store on Esmonde Street earlier this year. A “treasure trove” of jewellery and gifts, Lu & Mol is named after the designer’s two young daughters.

During the course of the evening, guests browsed through the jewellery and gifts on offer in store, while also dining on food provided by Elaine Gregan. In all, it proved to be a very successful event for Network Ireland Wexford members, said a spokesperson.

Network Ireland is a non-profit, voluntary organisation, with over 1,000 members and fourteen branches, with the Wexford branch being the most recently-established. The organisation is aimed at supporting the professional and personal development of women.
