O.C Dean’s Fitness
O.C. Dean’s Fitness in New Street, Margate, is now offering training for juniors and teenagers.
The gym was opened by personal trainer Dean Perry, from Ramsgate, in 2022 and offers 1-1 and small group sessions plus a waiting room for little ones while their parents train has opened in Margate.
The waiting room, with fire stick TV, toys, colouring books and juices and snacks, is aimed at helping parents, especially those who are sole carers, who might otherwise not be able to spend time at a gym.
Dean has worked in the fitness industry for more than 20 years since an award during Army training sparked his passion.
He is now offering sessions for youngsters aged 12 to 16. He said: “I started this because gyms promise inductions but barely give a tour.
“Anyone new to a gym should be given a minimum of three inductions on all equipment and safety in training. It can be detrimental if you don’t know what you’re doing.
“My main concern with a lack of inductions for teens is major injury as their bodies aren’t fully developed yet. If your kid(s) are thinking about joining a gym, or currently using one and not too sure what to do, I can train up to five teens in my gym at a time.
“Training with me will also provide discipline, routine and structure. If your child is on the wrong track, getting rude, angry, or lacking respect. I don’t stand for any foolishness and I’ll straighten them out. As an angry kid who chose to go down the wrong path ,training/exercise and discipline saved my life.”
Dean is fully DBS checked.
O.C Dean’s Fitness is at 23 New Street, Margate.
