The Australian’s National Editor Dennis Shanahan says the business industry has come in too late against the government’s same job, same pay campaign.
“I think that the business groups and the companies and industry have actually come to the party quite late in this,” Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“They have allowed themselves to be put off by Anthony Albanese’s job summit and cooperation and wanting to work with business but we’ve already seen quite large IR changes.
“I think they need to make a clearer argument and yes it will be a big spending campaign and that’ll have an effect and I think they should have acted sooner and with greater surety.”
