Loudspeaker opens studio in Fort Collins

​Loudspeaker Public Media, a Colorado-based public radio service devoted to underserved communities,​ has opened Loudspeaker Studios, a full-service recording and broadcast facility in midtown Fort Collins​.​

​The facility is available to anyone in the community who wants to start a radio show, podcast or livestream​, according to a release​. Trained engineers ​will handle all aspects of production so hosts and guests can concentrate on their performance​s, the release stated​.
Loudspeaker ​also ​​has plans to host free workshops for aspiring podcasters ​and for local nonprofit organizations.

“Everyone has a story to tell, but so many lack the means to deliver it to the world. It’s our mission to make storytelling available to all,”  Chris Lanphear, co-founder, ​said in the release.

​Support​ to start the studio came​ from DeltaV Digital​ in Fort Collins, the release stated​.

• ​Human Bean Northern Colorado’s Guest Barista Day held Feb. 28 raised $1,872.89 for the Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund. Ten percent of all sales made that day at the 6180 E. Crossroads ​Blvd. location in Loveland ​and the ​​821 N. College and 1822 S. College Fort Collins locations were donated to the nonprofit organization.

• ST Reproductive Technologies  LLC of Navasota, Texas, has been assigned a patent (No. US 11614847 B2, initially filed March 11, 2022) developed by three inventors, including Nicholas P. Rettedal of Berthoud, for “Computerized systems and methods for livestock management.”

• Hach Co. of Loveland has been assigned a patent (No. US 11612840 B2, initially filed Dec. 1, 2020) developed by Nelson E. Dervaes and Lynn Ruth Leone, both of Fort Collins, for “Filter life determination.”

• HD of Loveland won a federal contract award for $25,319 from the Defense Logistics Agency, Richmond, Virginia, for Seat Belt Parts Kit.
