KUALA LUMPUR: Salutica Bhd has received an unusual market activity (UMA) query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd following a sharp rise in the counter’s share price and volume recently.

The integrated electronics manufacturing company jumped 20.71%, or 17.5 sen to RM1.02 with 51.52 million shares done today. Year-to-date, the counter has risen over a whopping 292%.

“Investors are advised to take note of the company’s reply to the UMA query which will be posted at Bursa Malaysia’s website under the company announcement when making their investment decision,” the stock market operator said.

Salutica has been asked to disclose any corporate development relating to its business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may account for the trading activity, including those in the stage of negotiations or discussions.
